AI Data Scientist Sr.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
:
To partner with stakeholders to identify, scope, and execute advanced analytics and data science projects; to design data modeling processes, create algorithms, and predictive models; and to share insights that inform and enable business decisions.
- Build, prototype, and deploy machine learning models in production environments.
- Collaborate with product, technology, and other stakeholders to identify and scope data science projects.
- Communicate modeling challenges, findings, and outcomes to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Design and implement end‑to‑end ETL (extract, transform, load) data pipelines integrating data from multiple data sources.
- Explore new internal and external data sources and assess their commercial benefit.
- Mentor team members and act as a subject‑matter expert in cross‑functional discussions.
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution is preferred.
Ten (10) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including at least three (3) years of predictive modeling, data science, and analysis experience; proficient use of data visualization tools and libraries, data exploration, wrangling, and feature engineering. Experience with natural language processing and healthcare data is preferred.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE- Programming proficiency in Python or R and ability to document for reproducibility.
- Strong understanding of reviewing others’ models and code.
- Experience with data visualization tools and libraries.
- Advanced data exploration, wrangling, and feature engineering abilities.
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
- Proficient SQL knowledge for querying relational databases.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to produce comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports.
- Teamwork and collaborative mindset.
- Capacity to meet or exceed performance competencies.
Salary range for this role: $120,000 – $160,000 USD annually (subject to negotiation based on experience and location).
