IT Project Portfolio Analyst

The IT Project Portfolio Analyst II reports to the Director of Portfolio Management within GTO and is responsible for leading and advancing the full Portfolio Management Lifecycle from demand intake through project closure and value realization for IT initiatives within their assigned business unit(s). This role partners closely with both business and IT leadership to proactively monitor project and portfolio health, leveraging a variety of Microsoft tools to support governance, resource and time management, and reporting.
The Analyst ensures all work aligns with and adheres to established Portfolio Process standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the analysis and organization of incoming demand, helping assess priorities and gather business case details to inform portfolio decisions.
- Assist in maintaining governance around intake processes, including documenting requests, coordinating demand sizing activities, and preparing materials for steering/business approvals.
- Participate in the ideation process by helping facilitate discussions with business partners and capturing initial requirements.
- Prepare and distribute routine status update reports for business partners and leadership under the guidance of senior analysts.
- Create and maintain basic reports, charts, and dashboards for use in presentations to leadership.
- Collaborate with business partners, technical teams, and solution architects to help document high level scope, effort estimates, and required teams for upcoming project work.
- Track and update business roadmaps and portfolio data, supporting analysis of intake requests, budgets, and capacity constraints.
- Promote adherence to portfolio standards and processes, ensuring alignment between IT resources, processes, and organizational objectives.
