Information Technology Project Manager - Information Technology

JOB SUMMARY/CONTROLS:
Under the general director of the Director of Information Technology or designee, the IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing information technology projects while leading and supporting initiatives that advance digital inclusion. This role ensures technology projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while also working cross departmentally and with community partners to expand equitable access to broadband, devices, and digital literacy services for residents and stakeholders.

This position blends traditional IT project management with community focused technology efforts, ensuring that IT investments support both organizational operations and digital equity goals.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience or experience in deliverable based/deadline driven role. Experience managing projects in a public sector, nonprofit, healthcare, education, or housing environment preferred.

Experience with digital inclusion initiatives, community technology programs, or grant funded projects (preferred). Familiarity with Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and vendor managed IT services (preferred). Experience working with housing authorities, municipalities, or quasi governmental organizations (preferred).

SKILLS:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex, multi stakeholder initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Understanding of digital inclusion, digital equity, digital literacy, and broadband access challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities, partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.

OTHER: Possession of a valid Ohio Vehicle Operator’s License and insurability under CMHA guidelines.
