The Senior Manager, Enterprise Systems & ERP Transformation has the primary end-to-end ownership and is responsible for the hands-on management of Trans Tech’s ERP implementation and enterprise systems operating model. This high-impact, highly visible role blends strategic execution and technical engagement across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects/Job Costing, and Reporting. Primary responsibilities center on project management during implementation to design future-state processes that meet end-user requirements and align with standard ERP functionality wherever practical.
This role is newly created to both transform our ERP roadmap and provide succession planning for the Director of Information Technology role.
This individual is expected to be comfortable working directly within ERP environments by supporting configuration, troubleshooting, testing, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will also support strategic roadmap planning, governance, and cross-functional alignment. This role will support Trans Tech’ s multi-wave ERP transformation and ensure the ERP platform scales with company growth, acquisitions, and operational complexity. The position serves as the single point of accountability for ERP outcomes and acts as the internal project manager during implementation by coordinating business stakeholders, implementation partners, and vendors.
- Own the ERP roadmap, governance model, and prioritization of enhancements, including vendor-mandated upgrades and releases
- Translate business strategy and operational needs into ERP capabilities and improvement priorities
- Define and enforce ERP configuration standards and usage governance across business units
- Drive master data management and governance across entities, including customer, vendor and item masters
- Establish and maintain role-based security, permissions, and segregation-of-duties controls aligned with business requirements and U.S. GAAP
- Drive fit-to-standard adoption while managing required customization decisions
- Ensure ERP solutions support data integrity, reporting consistency, and scalable growth
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to support the management of the ERP project, as well as workflows within the ERP, including data quality, reporting, and exception handling, in partnership with the Data and Analytics function at Trans Tech,
- Act as internal project manager for ERP blueprinting and implementations;
- Lead future-state process design and conflict resolution
- Own scope, goals, success metrics, gate criteria, timelines, budgets, risks, and cross-functional dependencies
- Own data migration, integration, validation, system testing, cutover planning, and go-live readiness for the initial rollout and future acquisitions
- Remain hands-on with configuration, troubleshooting, system administration, and issue resolution
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Project, and Supply Chain leaders to architect and implement future-state processes that meet end-user requirements.
- Drive decisions on fit-to-standard vs. customization across divisions and businesses
- Drive change management, communications, training, and adoption across sites and functional teams
Post-Go-Live Operations & Continuous Improvement:
- Own the ERP support model, issue resolution process, and future enhancement lifecycle including vendor-mandated upgrades/releases
- Monitor system performance, stability, and adoption; implement corrective improvements as needed
- Maintain and manage ongoing integrations with other enterprise systems
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on measurable efficiency gains
- Support rationalization and transition of legacy ERP environments and non-standard tools (e.g., Syspro, Syteline, Infor Visual)
Enterprise Integration & Scalability:
- Own and maintain the enterprise systems integration architecture across ERP, financial systems, and operational tools
