Optomi, in partnership with an industry-leading client, is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to help drive the reliability, security, automation, and evolution of enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role working across platform engineering, Kubernetes, Dev Ops, automation, and infrastructure security.
What You’ll Do- Lead platform strategy and technical direction across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and Dev Ops environments.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, monitoring, automation, and operational processes.
- Design and maintain containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher.
- Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC/configuration management tools.
- Support CI/CD, API integration, automated provisioning, and platform orchestration.
- Establish and maintain security, resiliency, backup, and disaster recovery standards.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide technical recommendations for new initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, security, operations, and vendors to deliver enterprise platform solutions.
- 6+ years of platform engineering/infrastructure experience.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes
- Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar automation/IaC tools.
- Strong scripting skills with Python, Power Shell, and/or Bash.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Azure Solutions Architect, CKA, or AWS Dev Ops certification.
- Experience with Rancher, NGINX, cert‑manager, Hashi Corp Vault, Sysdig, Fluentd, or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with Git Ops and ArgoCD.
- Background supporting large‑scale enterprise platforms.

Cleveland, OH — 100% onsite at client headquarters
