Responsibilities
Representing clients in complex business litigation matters in both state and federal courts.Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as briefs, motions, memos, memoranda, and summary judgments.Conducting and managing written discovery and fact discovery processes.Preparing for and conducting depositions.Preparing and arguing dispositive motions.Drafting and arguing appellate briefs.Preparing for trial, including witness preparation and exhibit development.Maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients and colleagues.Meeting the firm's billable hours requirement of 1,700 hours per year.Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice law in the state.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation, with a focus on drafting, legal writing, and trial preparation.Proven track record of successfully handling a variety of business litigation matters.Exceptional legal writing skills, with experience drafting briefs, motions, memos, memoranda, and summary judgments.Experience with depositions, written discovery, and fact discovery.Strong trial preparation skills, including experience with witness preparation and exhibit development.Ability to meet the firm's billable hours requirement of 1,700 hours per year.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High level of professionalism and confidentiality.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.Interested in hearing more?
