Description
This position is a VAWA Grant Funded Law Clerk in the Department of Law.
ResponsibilitiesAssists attorneys in research and drafting legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions. Develops legal training materials for the Department. Performs other duties as required.
Domestic Violence Law Clerks also engage in and/or assist with legal research and motion practice; criminal case management; administrative support; court proceeding observations; citizen/victim interactions; appellate work; issuance of subpoenas and other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED is required. Must be currently enrolled or have graduated from an accredited law school.
Eligibility & Application InstructionsThe position is grant‑funded and will end when the grant ends. Hours are variable, typically 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited law school seeking a juris doctorate degree.
