Description of Job

The Demand Planning Analyst reports to the SO&P Manager and facilitates the demand planning process. The role manages daily and weekly demand planning functions, reviews customer demand, item availability, forecast performance, and item trend analysis, and prepares and distributes reports that impact customer relationship management. The analyst is a critical voice on the supply chain team, providing key context and perspective for customer and item demand decision making.

  • Work in coordination with the team on annual & monthly EGI forecast development.
  • Execute various tasks related to alignment of the demand plan to the EGI forecast.
  • Coordinate with Supply Planning on the initial demand plan and updates/changes to the plan.
  • Assist in the monthly S&OP process, facilitate demand planning meetings, and execute new actions related to the demand plan.
  • Provide short‑term demand plan updates in the weekly S&OE meeting.
  • Manage processes and guidelines related to lead‑time management, inventory allocation, and demand management for customer orders and forecasts.
  • Work closely with CSR’s and Sales on demand planning and forecasting activities.
  • Review item availability of all finished goods and provide/update item status/availability reports.
  • Work closely with Customer Fulfillment Specialist on specific customer and item allocation needs.
  • Review Master Production Schedule (MPS), OEM container plans, transfer orders, etc. to determine item flow and availability timing.
  • Communicate and provide feedback on item availability to the EGI team members as requested.
  • Provide/update reports that analyze customer item forecast to actual customer demand.
  • Notify Supply Planning of item quantity gaps and work together to align on any revisions to the supply plan.
  • Perform root cause analysis of demand issues to determine the best solution.
  • Escalate complex demand issues to management for further discussion and resolution.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, Communication, or related field.
  • ERP and MRP systems experience preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of analytical experience.
  • Experience in demand planning and/or supply chain functions preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze vast data sets and produce clear reporting based on intended objective.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs; high level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Effective project management skills and the ability to prioritize and organize multiple assignments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Effective in making business decisions quickly and independently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
