Contract Specialist

The Contract Specialist provides procurement support by coordinating competitive bid activities, assisting with item conversion projects, submitting item build requests, and identifying appropriate substitute products when needed. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with organizational policies.

• Coordinate and prepare bid events in support of purchasing and sourcing initiatives.
• Assist with product and item conversion projects to ensure accurate system updates.
• Submit and monitor item build requests within the procurement system.
• Research and recommend substitute items when requested products are unavailable or discontinued.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support procurement and supply chain operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with established purchasing procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Required Skills

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in healthcare procurement, supply chain, or purchasing.
• Experience working in a government, public sector, or regulated purchasing environment.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, competitive bidding, and supplier management is a plus.
