What You'll Do

As a Floor Technician, you'll perform routine and restorative floor care throughout local hospital facilities.

Responsibilities include:

Strip and wax floors

Scrub and recoat hard-surface flooring

Burnish, buff, and perform restorative floor cleaning

Operate commercial floor-care machines and equipment

Perform carpet extraction and shampooing as needed

Complete specialized flooring projects, which may include epoxy and urethane coating applications

Perform terrazzo honing and polishing

Perform concrete grinding and polishing

Perform marble polishing and other specialty floor restoration

Maintain clean and orderly work areas throughout assigned facilities

Complete work orders accurately and report project progress at the end of each shift

Identify and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns

Properly maintain and secure company equipment, keys, access cards, phones, tablets, and other property

Participate in specialized training and professional skill development

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who knows floor care and takes pride in the finished product.

Qualified candidates must have:

A valid driver's license

Reliable transportation

Previous commercial floor-care or floor technician experience

Experience with stripping, waxing, scrubbing, recoating, buffing, burnishing, or similar floor-care procedures

A strong attendance and punctuality record

Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects

Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort operating professional floor-care equipment

Ability to successfully complete a background check

Experience with epoxy coatings, terrazzo, concrete grinding/polishing, marble restoration, or flooring installation is highly valued.

Schedule & Travel

Monday-Friday, 4:30 PM-1:00 AM

Occasional weekend work may be required and will be scheduled in advance.

Because this position supports multiple local healthcare facilities, candidates must be comfortable driving to assigned locations and may occasionally travel up to 90 minutes one way. A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands‑on position. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; push and pull commercial floor-care equipment; bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and climb stairs or ladders; and regularly lift and carry equipment and supplies.

Some floor‑care equipment may require pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds. Employees must also be able to safely perform work in active healthcare environments where noise, dust, or debris may occasionally be present.
