The Manager, Distribution is responsible for managing all phases of the distribution operation and acts as the liaison between Distribution and Sales to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Oversee all distribution operations including routing, delivery execution, and logistics planning.
- Lead, coach, and develop Distribution Supervisors and distribution associates.
- Establish distribution goals and monitor delivery KPIs and performance metrics.
- Partner with Dispatch to maintain and continuously improve route plans.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EEOC, company policies, and safety standards.
- Manage labor and operating expense budgets; review P&L and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee reporting, audits, and documentation for compliance and performance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, and Fleet teams to ensure efficient, accurate deliveries.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging technology, training, and best practices.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience:
2+ years of prior experience in operations, distribution, or supply chain leadership required. - Experience managing supervisory-level employees preferred.
- Beverage industry or related industry experience strongly preferred.
- DOT knowledge required; CDL preferred.
- Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 35-65 pounds and work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
