Tax Partner – MDO (Manufacturing, Distribution & Other) Tax Group

A well-established firm is seeking a Tax Partner to lead and further develop its Manufacturing, Distribution & Other (MDO) Tax Group
. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on client advisory, team management, and strategic growth — not tax return preparation or review.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong tax professional with proven leadership ability and deep experience advising manufacturing and distribution businesses.

The Tax Partner will be responsible for managing and expanding an established MDO tax practice, serving clients ranging from $10 million to $1.5 billion in revenue
. This individual will focus on strategic consulting, relationship management, and team leadership while driving the continued growth of the group.

• Lead and oversee the MDO Tax Group
  , setting strategic direction and growth initiatives
• Serve as primary relationship manager for key manufacturing and distribution clients
• Provide high-level tax consulting and advisory services
• Offer technical expertise on complex tax matters impacting MDO businesses
• Mentor, motivate, and develop tax professionals within the group
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and deepen client relationships
• Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development and operational strategy

• CPA or Licensed Attorney required
• Extensive experience advising manufacturing and distribution businesses
• Strong technical knowledge of tax laws impacting middle-market to large companies
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and client relationships
• Demonstrated ability to grow and develop a specialized tax practice
• Excellent communication and executive-level advisory skills

• This role is primarily focused on leadership, client advisory, and consulting
• No hands-on tax return preparation or review responsibilities
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Cleveland, Ohio area
