DVHI Manager
The DVHI Manager is responsible for administrative and operational oversight of the Domestic Violence Housing Initiative (DVHI) at Journey Center for Safety and Healing. The DVHI Manager provides oversight of the day-to-day operations of the DVHI program and will provide support and/or supervision to members of the DVHI team. The DVHI Manager will ensure work with the DVHI core services are delivered in accordance with the agency's mission and best practices.
This position plays an important leadership role within the agency serving as a member of the Leadership Team and working with leaders and staff within the agency.
- Oversee the delivery of Housing and Community advocacy services, including, but not limited to:
- Provide support to DVHI staff; including but not limited to case management support
- Provide direct supervision to Housing Navigator, Intake Specialist and support to Housing Coordinator
- Ensure all services operate utilizing a Client/Family Centered Approach
- Oversee and manage the timeliness of documentation including RRH applications, assessments, individualized service plans and progress notes
- Assist and supervise staff's ability to assess client's needs, identify options, and assist with goal selection and achievement
- Domestic violence, self-sufficiency, financial, and tenancy rights education
- Oversee data collection in Osnium both accurately and on a timely basis and auditing records for inaccuracies
- Liaise with Eden to provide DV HUD Bonus Rapid Rehousing services, as well as provide information to Journey staff and partner agencies to complete appropriate paperwork for program referrals
- Create and implement new program specific projects
- Ensure and maintain compliance with funder requirements
- Responsible for all fiscal aspects of the program including, but not limited to:
- Understand the agency budget and program budget
- Read and understand a program P&L including budget variances
- Understand administrative overhead
- Review and approve employee expense reports for propriety, accuracy and completeness
- Review employee timecards for accuracy to actual time worked
- Understand program funding sources and corresponding program and funding compliance with Finance team
- Review grant billing / remaining balances monthly to ensure complete and accurate spend down of award
- Work with Director of shelter and crisis housing services to propose grant program and budget adjustments to Finance staff
- Manage staffing levels to funding resources and working within the parameters of the budget
- Oversee the documentation, maintenance, and termination of community client records to ensure the documented services provided to clients are in accordance with agency standards and funders. Along with the storage of client files to ensure confidentiality and best practices.
- Provide training and support for professional development
- On a monthly basis, perform regular quality assurance reviews of client files to ensure completeness, accuracy, proper documentation of delivered services and compliance with agency and funding standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance measures to ensure quality service delivery to clients
- In collaboration with the Shelter Leadership, maintain accurate statistics of community and housing advocacy services.
- Provide a supportive environment for staff and clients and listen with a non-judgmental attitude
- Utilize evidence-based modalities, specifically Trauma Informed Care and The Housing First Model
- Make appropriate recommendations to the Shelter Leadership regarding organizational policies, procedures, and protocols
- Attend and contribute to all agency and community meetings as appropriate for the position
- Respect, understand, and promote Journey Center's mission, values, and goals
- Complete agency orientation and training(s) to meet job requirements
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent years' of relevant experience is required
- Experience working with victims of domestic violence and child abuse preferred
