Position: Supervisory Veterans Service Representative (VSCM).
  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling the work of the division.
  • Directing staffing, placement, assignment, and training of division personnel to manage division workflow and productivity.
  • Directing program activities for the delivery of VA benefit programs for veterans, their dependents, and beneficiaries.
  • Exercising final authority for the full range of the division's personnel actions.
  • Ensuring proficient resource utilization and quality of work performed and services rendered; writing/establishing policies and procedures within the division.
  • Maintaining the highest technical and professional authority to make final decisions in the types of claims considered most difficult or critical, which commit the Federal Government to unusual liability.
  • Forecasting both short- and long-range workloads of the division so adequate funds, staffing, space, equipment, and supplies will be planned for, budgeted, and provided.
Duties

Relocation/Recruitment Incentives

Relocation expenses and services (Permanent Change of Station - PCS) are authorized for this recruitment. PCS is the relocation of a household due to government convenience in connection with the transfer between duty stations or facilities. In consideration of the payment of expenses for travel and transportation, the selectee agrees to remain in federal service for twelve (12) months following the date of transfer.

Failure to complete all conditions of the obligated service may result in repayment of travel/transportation expenses.

Physical Requirements

The regular and recurring work of the position is primarily sedentary. Some walking, bending, stooping and carrying of light materials may be necessary. Occasional use of an automobile and public transportation may be required to attend conferences and meetings. No special physical exertion is required.
