A leader in IT managed services is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Project Management to provide strategic leadership and oversight of a global project management organization. This position is based in Cleveland, OH.
Position SummaryThe Vice President of Project Management is responsible for leading the Project Management Office (PMO) and ensuring the successful execution of enterprise technology deployment, lifecycle management, field services, and managed service programs across the organization.
This executive leadership role is accountable for PMO strategy, customer delivery governance, project execution excellence, team development, process scalability, and customer satisfaction. The VP of Project Management serves as the senior leader responsible for translating customer commitments into operational execution while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate combines executive leadership experience with deep expertise in technology deployments, managed services, field services, logistics, and customer program management. This individual must be capable of building scalable project management capabilities, developing high‑performing teams, and partnering closely with Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership to drive customer success and profitable growth.
Experience in device lifecycle management, endpoint deployments, mobility, POS rollouts, field services, IT asset management, or related technology services environments is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities PMO Leadership & Strategy- Lead and develop the Project Management Office, including project managers, customer program managers, and supporting resources.
- Establish and execute the strategic vision, structure, processes, and performance standards for the PMO.
- Develop scalable project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and best practices that support company growth.
- Create a culture of accountability, customer focus, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Drive PMO maturity through standardization, automation, metrics, and process optimization.
- Develop organizational capabilities that enable revenue growth without proportional increases in project management headcount.
- Own executive-level oversight of customer deployment programs, strategic initiatives, and complex implementation projects.
- Ensure customer commitments are translated into executable project plans and operational readiness.
- Lead executive business reviews, customer governance meetings, and major project reviews.
- Ensure consistent communication and transparency regarding project health, risks, timelines, and outcomes.
- Partner with Operations, Field Services, Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead cross-functional planning efforts for large-scale deployment initiatives and strategic customer programs.
- Ensure alignment between customer demand, operational capacity, inventory availability, and deployment schedules.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for project delivery, customer satisfaction, resource utilization, profitability, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop executive dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into project portfolio health and organizational performance.
- Identify project risks, resource constraints, and operational challenges before they impact customer commitments.
