Purpose of the Position
The Production Administrator supports daily manufacturing operations by accurately collecting, entering, and maintaining production and labor data. This hourly role is responsible for preparing routine reports related to productivity, scrap, and labor data, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to plant leadership in a fast-paced swab manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter daily production, scrap, and labor data into reporting systems.
- Review time and labor data in ADP, including reviewing punches and supporting corrections.
- Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for the Operations Manager and Assistant Plant Manager.
- Maintain accurate time and labor records in accordance with company policies.
- Compile and format reports using Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables as needed).
- Verify data accuracy and follow up on discrepancies in production, labor and time information.
- Support payroll and HR by providing timely and accurate labor data.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records for audits and internal reviews.
- Perform other administrative and reporting duties related to plant operations as assigned.
Required Experience
- One year minimum administrative work experience, data entry, or production support experience required.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Experience with ADP or HRIS system preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks while meeting daily deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the internal organization.
- Hourly position with scheduled shifts; overtime may be required based on operational needs.
- Manufacturing plant environment with a combination of office and production-area interaction.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
