Position OverviewA growing food manufacturing facility is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support plant operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for performing preventative and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting fabrication and sanitary welding needs.
This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional with strong welding experience who thrives in a physically demanding manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems and electrical systems up to 480V (3-phase)
- Perform industrial and sanitary welding and fabrication as needed
- Repair conveyors, pumps, valves, and related components
- Monitor equipment performance and make necessary operational adjustments
- Use voltage testing equipment and follow electrical safety standards (NFPA guidelines)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Complete required maintenance documentation and electronic updates
- Respond to urgent repair needs and support overtime coverage as required
- Operate heavy industrial tools and equipment safely
- Minimum 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to troubleshoot 3-phase 480V electrical systems
- Experience with VFDs; PLC knowledge is a bonus
- Welding and metal fabrication experience required (sanitary welding preferred)
- Pump and valve experience preferred
- Preventative maintenance mindset
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to obtain powered industrial lift truck certification
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment screening
- Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tight or awkward spaces
- Heavy lifting required
- Exposure to heat, noise, dust, chemicals, and wet production environments
- May work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
- Motivated to grow within a stable and expanding operation
