Responsibilities
  • Has a basic understanding of our company’s products, operations and procedures. Seeks assistance as necessary with unfamiliar situations.
  • Communicates effectively with co-workers; performs assignments in a timely and efficient manner while meeting customer quality and service expectations.
  • Responds to requests from customers.
  • Learn to estimate repairs needed to items we sell.
  • Learn to repair the equipment we service and sell.
  • Learn to calibrate the equipment we service and sell.
  • Learn to manufacture and test assemblies according to the work instructions provided.
  • Start to learn to modify equipment as needed for special applications.
  • Learn to assemble the various components of manufactured products.
  • Communicates effectively with internal company partners in performing assigned tasks. Seeks assistance as necessary to resolve more complex issues in an effective manner.
  • Keeps the supervisor aware in a timely manner of any issues needing the supervisor’s involvement.
  • Maintains timely and accurate records and reports, as required.
  • Observe good housekeeping and safety habits.
  • Show progress in learning to repair equipment.
  • Ability to manufacture and test assemblies according to the work instructions provided.
Requirements
  • High school or trade school education is required. Has the necessary training to be proficient in the position.
  • Through related experience has demonstrated the skills and ability to be an effective electronic assembly technician employee with the company.
  • Possesses strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electronics.
  • Has basic soldering skills and is able to use hand tools, vise, and drill press.
  • Has excellent communications and interpersonal skills to be able to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Experience repairing or assembling equipment. Ability to troubleshoot equipment, read parts prints, and equipment manuals to understand the proper operation of equipment in order to repair properly.
  • Has basic computer skills and is proficient with all related company systems and programs.
  • Has basic analytical and problem-solving abilities to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Effective time management skills in prioritizing and addressing multiple and at times conflicting demands.
  • High energy with a sense of urgency in responding to customer needs.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Is committed to the company’s values.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining required records and reports.
