Responsible for providing daily technical support for a Cleveland facility Manufacturing department(s) under the direction of the Engineering Manager and specific Plant Superintendent of that department.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Process/equipment troubleshooting (including process control systems), utilization of SPC to improve batch quality, and assistance with cost reduction, process reliability and quality improvement programs.
- Expectation is that a successful applicant will develop skill sets and work on small scale capital projects.
- The main responsibility for this individual will be coordinating/facilitating several efficiency initiatives within the department and following through on them to the point of realized benefits.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Works with in-house maintenance and outside contractors to facilitate repairs & improvements.
- Analyzes and plans space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- DOT and IATA certified.
- Minimum of 2 years of shipping/receiving or related experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
$67,912.00 to $ annually . Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.

- Highly developed computer skills in Excel, Word and other office programs
- Proficient in use of AutoCAD & Autodesk Fusion 360
- Familiar with use and programming of PLCs & Ladder Logic
- Can read blueprints and architectural drawings as well as read/create P&IDs
- Ability to understand complex systems as a whole (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Boilers, etc.)
- Must be able to respond to plant system & utility failures/disruptions in an efficient manner
- Strong follow-up & follow through communication skills with contractors (in-person, phone, email, etc.)
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Ability to identify and define problems, collect and analyzes data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to work off shift hours in order to meet the needs of the business.
