Grinder / Metal Finishing Technician

Position Overview

This is a hands-on manufacturing role supporting the production of packaging and processing equipment used throughout the food industry. In this position, you'll work in a clean, organized facility using hand grinders and polishing tools to smooth and finish metal components that become part of shrink-wrapping machines seen in everyday retail environments.

This role is best suited for individuals who are comfortable with repetitive, detail-focused work and take pride in producing a clean, high-quality finished product. This is a long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity with a busy and stable manufacturer.

• Lunch: 30-minute unpaid break

Pay & Employment Path

• Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Use hand grinders to smooth edges and surfaces on aluminum and metal components
• Polish finished parts to meet appearance and quality standards
• Inspect parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface defects
• Handle and position metal components during the grinding and polishing process
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow work instructions and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with other shop tasks as needed based on production demands

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or metal grinding
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail
• Comfortable standing for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Willingness to follow safety and quality standards

• Extremely clean and well-maintained manufacturing facility
• Repetitive, production-focused work
• Safety glasses required (provided)
