Shift: Monday - Thursday 7pm - 5:30am
A highly respected manufacturing firm in the Cleveland, OH area to hire experienced top-tier CNC Mill Machinists. This position offers a structured 4-day work week (10-hour shifts), allowing you to enjoy a
3-day weekend every week
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to perform a variety of
- operations including milling, drilling, reaming, and tapping on diverse parts
- Download programs from the network server directly to the machine control; perform routine program edits and overrides as noted or required
- Pre-set tooling, load tools into the automatic tool changer, adjust offsets, install fixtures, and establish exact reference points for programs
- Execute program dry runs on the control panel before running live, production-ready pieces
- Correctly touch off tools, indicate fixtures into location, and perform precise minor mechanical adjustments
- Inspect the first completed piece and secure formal layout approval from designated quality personnel before launching production
- Monitor production runs continually using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, thread gages, depth micrometers, and surface plates with height gages)
- Maintain the authority and technical awareness to identify, tag, and properly disposition nonconforming product
- Diagnose and resolve routine to complex machining issues through systematic troubleshooting
- Complete daily preventative maintenance checklists on all operated equipment to ensure peak operating performance
- Report any faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual operating conditions to supervisors immediately. Assist and mentor less experienced operators with complex technical issues
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven CNC Mill setup and operation experience within
- a production manufacturing environment
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training required
- Ability to perform foundational machining mathematics, including decimal-to- fraction conversions and reading complex technical drawings/blueprints
- Proficient in the setup and use of precision inspection gauges, calipers,
- micrometers, thread gages, depth micrometers, and surface plates
- Basic computer proficiency to navigate network servers, load files, and document accurate logs
