PositionSummary
The Final/Receiving Inspector will inspect products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications. The role requires cross training across company departments based on business needs.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and specifications.
- Dimensionally inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
- Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, tape measure, or Pi tape.
- Accept or reject finished or raw material items.
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
- Discuss inspection results with Department Supervisor, Area Leader, and Department Engineer.
- Report inspection and test data as needed.
- Enter data into the NC Log database.
- Follow all work instructions for performing final inspection criteria and non‑conforming product handling.
- Print material certifications for customer orders as required.
- Prepare all necessary shipment paperwork.
- Perform additional training duties as requested.
- Package orders for customer shipments as required.
- React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Qualified for PMI inspection.
- Print PMI reports.
- Perform receiving inspection of components from suppliers using various measuring instruments and print specification and quality documents.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
- Inspect all products to work instructions.
- Ability to use and read micrometers and calipers.
- Utilize RFA to offer ideas and solutions with involvement from plant management team.
- Competent in basic computer skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, twist, and kneel.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
