As an Analytical Technician
, you will report to the Analytical and RM Lab Manager to perform a variety of routine chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
The shift for this position is Saturday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Main Responsibilities- Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products samples of manufactured/intermediate products to verify conformity to specifications.
- Records test results on batch tickets and in company's computer operating system.
- Organizes and maintains quality records and retains of production/intermediate batches and raw materials.
- Compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests.
- Sets up, adjusts, verifies, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain housekeeping of the working place.
- Respect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy.
- Evaluates retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
- Performs 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
- Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives.
- Minimum of two-year technical degree preferred.
- Two years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication and organizational skills.
