Job Description
Location: Hudson, OH
Pay: $22-$28/hr.
Shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00pm-6:30am
OverviewA growing precision manufacturing operation in the Hudson, OH area is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to support machining operations across CNC mills and lathes. This role focuses on producing high-quality machined components in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
This is an opportunity for a hands‑on operator with strong mechanical aptitude who takes pride in producing defect‑free parts and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce machined components to specification
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments (offsets) following training
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Document production and quality data using data collection sheets and ERP system (Navision)
- Ensure parts meet quality standards and follow defined inspection intervals
- Identify and report quality or process issues, working with quality team as needed
- Use hand tools for deburring and finishing operations
- Move materials and finished goods using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience (mills and/or lathes)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast‑paced production environment
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and process documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators)
- Forklift / tow motor experience
- Exposure to CMM or advanced inspection equipment
- Experience with ERP systems (Navision or similar)
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands for handling tools and parts
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs
- Exposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, moving machinery, and temperature changes
- Work environment ranges from moderate to loud noise levels
- Full-time position; shift and hours determined by production needs
- Overtime may be required based on workload and deadlines
- Strong attendance and punctuality are critical to success in this role
