CNC Mill​/Turn Machinist - 2nd Shift

Aero Controlex is seeking an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Machinist to join our team.

In this role, you will take full ownership of setup and production on complex mill/turn machines, producing precision components to tight tolerances.

If you are confident setting up multitasking CNC equipment, solving machining challenges at the machine, and running high-quality parts independently, we'd like to hear from you.

Schedule:

Full-Time, 2nd Shift with consistent overtime opportunities

What You'll Do

* Perform complete setup and operation of multi-axis CNC mill/turn machines, including Okuma Multus and Doosan CNC machines

* Take full ownership of assigned jobs from setup through first-piece approval and production

* Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements

* Establish tooling, fixturing, speeds, feeds, and machine offsets to achieve precision, repeatability, and efficiency

* Inspect complex parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure tight tolerances and quality standards

* Troubleshoot machining issues and make real-time adjustments to programs and setups as needed

* Work closely with the production team to maintain workflow and resolve manufacturing challenges

* Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

* 3-7 years of CNC mill/turn machining experience (Okuma Multus and Doosan preferred)

* High school diploma or GED required

* Proven experience performing full CNC mill/turn setups independently from start to finish on complex parts

* Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to apply it in high-precision machining environments

* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings without assistance

* Strong experience optimizing speeds, feeds, tooling, and offsets for quality and efficiency

* CNC programming experience is a plus

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing tight-tolerance, high-quality parts

* Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned work
