CNC Lathe Operator 2nd shift

Position Summary

As a CNC Lathe Set Up, Production Operator at Regal Rexnord Cleveland your focus will be to set up and operate CNC Lathe machinery, uphold production standards and ISO
9001 regulations and guidelines, inspect product for flaws and defects, deburr if necessary, interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts and shop orders to plan and check work, obtain proper tools from the tool crib, select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy, perform calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments, move completed material to the next workstation, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines in accordance with production standards and ISO
  9001.
• Inspect finished parts for flaws and defects, including deburring when required.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts, and shop orders to plan and check work.
• Obtain and verify the correct set of tools, holders, and fixtures from the tool crib.
• Perform necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments.
• Move completed material to the next workstation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.

• Minimum one‑year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong math skills.
• Proficiency in reading basic measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers.
• Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates; experience in calculating feeds and speeds.
• Successful completion of a blueprint reading course.

Regular use of hands, fingers, and arms; reach, touch, or feel operations. Frequently standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Workplaces governed by State Department policies; applicants not meeting such requirements will not be eligible for the position.
