The Operator I position performs a variety of skilled tasks involved in general maintenance and operations. The role requires a basic understanding of equipment and the ability to perform related work as required.

• Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping, and adhering to safety guidelines
• Verify and record product identification
• Reconcile coil identity for production and load coil
• Ensure material is loaded onto lines and fed into production equipment in accordance with all safety policies and quality procedures
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure material tracking and stacking
• Perform in-process visual inspections
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Ability to use computers, read tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
• Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
• Able to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
• Effective interaction with employees at all levels of the company
• Reading and comprehension of simple work instructions, work orders, short correspondence, and memos written in English
• Writing simple correspondence in English

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Industry knowledge and experience, a plus
