Context

Our client is supporting a European manufacturing company with operations in the Cleveland area. The company operates in an industrial / mechanical assembly environment, with production batches, equipment, shop-floor processes and manufacturing operations.

The project is linked to an ERP / business process alignment initiative. A core operating model exists in Europe, and the US site needs support to assess local process gaps, document differences and prepare for future alignment / rollout.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Project Manager with ERP and manufacturing experience to lead and structure a gap analysis project between the European core model and the current US business processes.

The priority is someone who can work directly with business stakeholders, understand manufacturing and finance/integration processes, run workshops, document gaps and help move the project forward in a structured way.

The role requires regular on-site presence in the Cleveland area, likely a few days per week. Local or regional candidates are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the gap analysis between the European/core operating model and the current US manufacturing site processes.
  • Work with business stakeholders across manufacturing, production, supply chain, inventory, shop floor, finance and related functions.
  • Facilitate workshops with US users and European/core model stakeholders.
  • Document current-state processes, key differences, risks, issues and required changes.
  • Identify and classify process, system and integration gaps.
  • Support alignment between the US site and the European project/core model team.
  • Help translate business needs into structured documentation for the ERP/project team.
  • Track decisions, actions, open points and follow-ups.
  • Support rollout readiness and future implementation planning.
  • Act as a practical bridge between business users, ERP teams and leadership.
Required Experience
  • Strong ERP project experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with gap analysis, fit-gap, current-state/future-state assessment or process alignment.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing operations, ideally including production, BOMs, routings, inventory, shop floor, procurement and supply chain.
  • Ability to work with finance and integration-related stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, rollouts, upgrades or business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Comfortable leading workshops and driving clarity with business users.
  • Strong project management discipline without being limited to administrative PMO work.
  • Ability to work on site in the Cleveland area regularly.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with European-to-US rollout projects.
  • Experience with a European core model / global template.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly, industrial manufacturing, equipment manufacturing or discrete manufacturing.
  • ERP exposure to Baan, Infor LN, Infor Cloud Suite, M3, SAP, Dynamics AX/D365 or similar.
  • French or European stakeholder exposure is a plus, but not mandatory.
Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on ERP Project Manager / Business Process PM who understands manufacturing operations and can lead a practical gap assessment.
