CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist - 2nd Shift

Aero Controlex is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist to join our team.

In this role, you will take full ownership of setup and production on CNC Swiss machines, producing precision components to tight tolerances.

Schedule:

Full-Time, 2nd Shift with consistent overtime opportunities

What You'll Do

* Perform complete setup and operation of CNC Swiss machines from start to finish

* Take full ownership of assigned jobs from setup through production

* Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements

* Establish tooling, fixturing, speeds, feeds, and machine offsets to achieve precision, repeatability, and efficiency

* Inspect parts during production to ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process

* Review and interpret G-code and M-code as needed

* Apply knowledge of cutting tool performance and tool life optimization to support precision, repeatability, and efficiency

* Collaborate with engineering and CNC programming teams during new job prove-outs, troubleshooting, and process improvements

* Work closely with the production team to maintain workflow and resolve manufacturing challenges

* Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining production quality and efficiency

* Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

* 3+ years of CNC Swiss lathe setup and operation experience (Citizen or Mitsubishi controls preferred)

* High school diploma or GED required

* Proven experience performing full CNC Swiss setups independently from start to finish

* Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to apply it in precision machining environments

* Ability to use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, air gages, comparators, and profilometers

* Experience setting up machines including speeds, feeds, tooling, and offset adjustments

* CNC programming experience is a plus

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing tight-tolerance, high-quality parts

* Self-motivated and able to work independently in a high-precision manufacturing environment

* Strong team collaboration skills when working with engineering and production support groups
