Gear Manufacturing Engineer
Cleveland, Ohio area Direct hire | Full time | $90,000 – $110,000
One of our clients is seeking a Gear Manufacturing Engineer to support gear hobbing, shaping, and grinding operations. This role focuses on CNC programming, process improvement, tooling development, and production support in a precision machining environment.
Responsibilities:- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for gear production
- Create CNC programs from scratch and optimize existing programs
- Support gear hobbing, shaping, and grinding operations
- Design tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues on the production floor
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes
- Experience in gear manufacturing (hobbing, shaping, or grinding required)
- Fanuc familiarity
- Creo, ProE, or Solid Works experience
- Experience supporting gear equipment such as Gleason, Pfauter, Nidec, or Fellows is strongly preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and process troubleshooting skills
- Manufacturing Engineers with gear experience
- CNC Programmers with gear machining experience
- Gear machinists ready to transition into engineering
