Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
- Housekeeping
OD / Thread Grinder top skills & proficiencies:
- Knowledge of Grinding
- Ability to Read Blueprints, Schematics and Manuals
- Analytical Skills using micrometers, calipers, gages
- Work from blueprints to identify component/manufacturing specifications
- Set-up and operate manual and/or CNC grinding
- Select Proper feeds and speeds
- Ability to check parts to specifications using gauges and related measuring devices
- Ability to inspect parts and make adjustments according to blueprint specifications
- Perform basic troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments
- Rotate between various department work centers as required
Job Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience in manufacturing
- Working knowledge of equipment and tools
- Operate material handling equipment
- Able to read, write, and count in English
- Ability to lift 40lbs
