Molding Machine Operator (3rd Shift)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite)
Schedule: Sunday night through Friday morning | 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Molding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on 3rd shift. In this role, you will set up mold tooling and materials according to work orders, operate molding presses, and ensure quality production while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up required mold tooling and materials according to work order instructions.
  • Operate molding presses and related equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Unload finished parts using various hand tools.
  • Monitor production processes using electronic controls and gauges.
  • Trim and deburr molded parts using hand tools and shop routers.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects or non-conforming parts.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify product quality.
  • Read and follow blueprints and detailed work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist with additional production tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 3 months of manufacturing experience required.
  • Previous experience operating molding equipment or molding machines preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
  • Basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to identify quality issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing facility with no climate control.
  • Fans and other cooling methods are provided to help maintain employee comfort.
  • Position requires standing for extended periods and working with hand tools and production equipment.
Training

Training will be conducted on 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM). The length of training will vary based on the candidate's experience and progress.
