Chemical Operator $26hr+
The Chemical Operator safely and efficiently mixes, compounds, and packages liquid and dry chemical products while operating production machinery and following detailed batch tickets and work instructions. This role involves hands-on batch mixing, accurate documentation of production data, and collaboration across different areas of the facility to support smooth and continuous manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Mix, compound, and blend liquid and dry chemical products according to established formulations and batch tickets.
- Operate a variety of production machinery and equipment, including mixers, blenders, and filling machines, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow batch tickets, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Weigh, measure, and add raw materials accurately for batch mixing and batch making processes.
- Perform batch mixing, batch recording, and batch documentation, including logging production numbers and maintaining accurate records.
- Package finished products, including filling containers, labeling, and preparing materials for shipment or further processing.
- Operate heavy equipment such as tow motors and overhead cranes to move materials and products as needed.
- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 60 lbs throughout the shift as part of normal production activities.
- Monitor machinery during operation, identify basic issues, and communicate any equipment or process concerns promptly.
- Work in other production areas as needed to support overall plant operations and meet production schedules.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and respirators when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while working with oils, chemicals, and pigments.

Work Environment
This role is based in a dark and dirty chemical manufacturing facility that produces fluorescent colors used in paints, pigments, and dispersions. You will work around oils and chemicals daily and use production machinery, mixers, blenders, filling equipment, tow motors, and overhead cranes. The position may require working off-shifts to support production demands. The environment is physically demanding, with regular lifting of up to 60 lbs and the need to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including a respirator, which requires being clean shaven.
The setting is industrial and hands-on, suited for individuals who are comfortable in a heavy manufacturing environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54700.00 - $55000.00/yr. Full time union benefits, paid holidays, competitive health, dental, vision, paid days off. RPM company 401k with match.
