Reese Consumer Health is a privately held manufacturer of OTC branded and private label products selling to national and regional chains, food and grocery stores, drug wholesalers, co-ops and independent pharmacies. We have expanded our production capabilities by adding more equipment to our facilities to keep up with our growing range of OTC and health care products.

POSITION

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Supervisor position is a critical leadership role where the team member will be expected to embrace the tenants of servant leadership and actively lead from the front leveling down every day. The Supervisor will allocate resources as needed to meet production demands and will be fair, firm, and consistent with all direct reports. They will use proper resources such as Sys Pro, Unipoint, LEAN Principles and other tools to serve customer and team needs.

Providing clear and concise communication to the team and other leaders is critical to the success of the organization. Utilizing visual shop tools and daily operational reporting are in place to ensure there is clarity in the expectation. The Supervisor will be responsible for the creation and execution of the daily production plan to achieve production targets and identify areas of improvement.

They will monitor the progress of production runs and communicate any required changes to the Operations Manager. The Supervisor will be responsible for the oversight and development of approximately 15 production employees. A passion to jump in is a great asset to ensure they can learn to effectively troubleshoot production equipment and make small repairs/adjustments as necessary.

JOB DUTIES
  • Directs and oversees day to day activities of personnel to fulfill production needs.
  • Acts as liaison between production employees, human resources and other departments as needed.
  • Responsible for performance management and progressive discipline of personnel.
  • Trains, motivates, and coaches personnel.
  • Assist in investigation of employee relations complaints or concerns.
  • Collaborate with operations manager, director of operations, procurement, and other team members to coordinate production workflows.
  • Ability to move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
  • Use Syspro MRP software.
  • Utilize Unipoint Preventive Maintenance (PM) software.
  • Utilize ADP time keeping software.
  • Sets up all cells with the proper paperwork and assigns the proper personnel to make sure all lines are producing to their fullest potential.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and basic trouble shooting on equipment when needed. Assigns cell techs to fix issues when necessary.
  • Wears and enforce the required PPE.
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area.
  • Complete all required paperwork timely, legibly and accurately.
  • Works in a cooperative manner with management, co‑workers and vendors.
  • Closes out production records. Reviews the closeouts if performed by another employee and signs off on it prior to being turned in to the quality team.
  • Assist in investigating non‑conformances.
  • Ability to perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2 - 5 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
  • Excellent leadership, client-facing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative; proactive in bringing forward ideas and solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
QUALIFICATIONS / OTHER REQUIREMENTS
