Travel Welders
This is a per diem welding position located in Alma, Michigan. Pay is $26/hr plus $150 per diem. Contract duration is 1-2 years to direct. Shifts include 1st and 2nd, with 15+ hours of overtime per week. Per diem is $150/day.
Join our team as a welder and fabricator, where you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques. You will interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the most suitable welding process and ensure the structural soundness of completed welds. This role involves welding and fitting various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment.
- Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
- Weld and fit various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment.
- Proficiency in using tape measures, fitting, Flux core, pulse, MIG pulse, and squares.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols with 3-5+ years of experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in structural fitting and welding.
- 3-5+ years of experience in both flux core welding and pulse welding.
- 3-5+ years of experience in converting fractions to decimals to 1/16th and/or 1/32nd from tape measures.
- 3G Flux Core Weld Test on a 1 in plate
- 3G Pulse Weld Test on a 3/8th plate
- All testing is located in Alma, Michigan.
This is a contract to hire position based out of Cleveland, OH. The pay range for this position is $26.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
