Printing Press Operator job at XPRTAS Talent Acquisition, Cleveland, OH.
General FunctionThe operation of a Flexographic printing press. The operator will possess a combination of knowledge, skill, and abilities to carry out work activities related to the operation of the flexographic printing press.
Responsibilities- Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a Mark Andy 16 - 20 flexographic press.
- Install Anilox rollers, plates, inks and dies into proper stations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality of production.
- Notify supervision of needed repairs and replacement parts.
- Ensure that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
- Understand all the documents related to the printing process and adhere to specification requirements.
- Minimum - High School Diploma or GED and basic computer skills.
- Best candidates would have at least 1–3 years of FLEXO PRINTING experience with ability to read and write simple instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
- Should be able to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance and be flexible and willing to work overtime, as needed.
- Must be flexible in working any shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- During the shift, Press Operators will be bending and twisting while moving product from workstation to pallet.
- Press Operators may need to use manual or electric pallets jacks to move skids of products, which requires pushing and pulling.
- 90-day review period after hire where candidates will be assessed for a skill increase.
- After the 90-day review period we have an attendance incentive: we give an extra $1.00 on the paycheck for showing up to work without any unexcused absences.
