Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in a highly automated food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, and supporting production equipment throughout the plant. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical repairs, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery.
- Troubleshoot and wire 480V 3-phase motors.
- Trace voltage and identify electrical faults using a multimeter.
- Troubleshoot PLC inputs and outputs.
- Troubleshoot and maintain VFD-controlled equipment.
- Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, cylinders, and conveyors.
- Troubleshoot safety circuits and machine safety systems.
- Support robotic packaging and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime.
Essential Skills
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot 480V 3-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to wire motors and trace voltage using a multimeter.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems beyond basic Lockout/Tagout.
- VFD troubleshooting experience.
- PLC troubleshooting experience (inputs and outputs).
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Pump and motor repair experience.
- Conveyor repair experience.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot equipment independently.
- Ability to work 3rd shift.

The facility operates in a cheese manufacturing environment, ensuring high cleanliness standards as per FDA regulations. The workspace includes machines and lines that are close together, creating a tighter workspace in some areas. The facility has cold areas where cheese is frozen and hot areas where cheese is processed. If you are sensitive to the smell of cheese, please consider this aspect of the work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
