2nd Shift Production Supervisor

We are looking for a results-oriented Production Supervisor to join our team and help drive performance on the shop floor. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in cold heading and cold forming environments, along with the ability to lead teams, optimize production processes, and maintain high standards for quality and safety in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

General Statement of Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and developing employees in a team environment utilizing a J.I.T. manufacturing system, e.g. – Employee Involvement, Total Quality, Continuous Improvement, Housekeeping, EH&S, Communication, Coordination, etc. that meets production and customer requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinating training and managing production personnel, including setting performance goals, and conducting evaluations
• Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring all production targets and quality standards are met.
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of production workers to foster a high-performance culture.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and safety.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with other department supervisors to optimize production planning and inventory control.
• Monitor and report on production performance and implement strategies for improvement.
• Handle troubleshooting issues swiftly and effectively to minimize downtime.
• Assists area managers with and participates in assessments and feedback of employee’s performance.
• Approves overtime, vacations, and other personnel administrative requests.
• Facilitate daily production meetings.
• Manage production schedules and resources.
• Deliver quality products and drive process improvements.
• Interpret area data (production, on-time delivery, quality, etc)
• Collaboration with other departments to synchronize production processes in alignment with operational goals.

• Ensure work being performed is accurately and efficiently in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Manufacturing Instructions, IATF Procedures and other relevant documents.
