If dialing in a molding machine, chasing down a process variance, and turning out flawless parts sounds like a great day, Pretium Packaging would like to meet you. We have multiple openings for operators ready to own quality, uptime, and safety on our thermoplastics lines.
Imagine this scenarioA rush order drops. You quickly set up the plastic molding machine using standard procedures, verify materials, and bring the line to rate. Mid-run, you spot a cosmetic defect, adjust parameters, and perform a quick maintenance check. You pull samples, compare to drawings, document results, and coordinate with your supervisor to replenish resin before the next job. The shift ends with a spotless workstation—safe, organized, and ready for tomorrow.
Whatyou’ll do
- Set up and operate plastic molding equipment per established procedures.
- Monitor performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality and throughput.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep machines running at peak performance.
- Inspect finished parts and take corrective action to meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues as they arise to minimize downtime.
- Maintain raw material inventory levels; notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience with plastic molding machines is preferred.
- Understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and supporting equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude; exposure to packaging, plastics, and printing equipment is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced production environment.
- Problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills, written and verbal.
