Account ManagerAn Account Manager must be proactive and committed to building and managing lasting client relationships. Account Managers are responsible for overseeing accounts that were previously in the discovery process with our Business Development Team. The individual will work with our department managers and production teams to ensure client projects are moving along and deadlines are being met. This position requires a motivated, organized and team-oriented individual who is proactive and continuously willing to take on multiple projects and clients at any given time.
The Client Services Department (CSD) is responsible for day-to-day project management and coordination, relationship management, client growth and strategy. As an Account Manager, you would be coordinating daily efforts alongside other team members within the Client Services Department. You would be working directly with assigned clients, department managers and production team members.
Location:Cleveland-Akron area with the ability to be in the office three days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and extend client relationships
- Work with each client to establish target goals and objectives
- Day-to-day client relationship management
- Develop and execute on strategic recommendations
- Stay abreast ofchanges in markets and technologies to be able to analyze accounts
- Involved in brainstorming and troubleshooting processes, creativity and problem solving
- Motivate others and utilize negotiation skills as needed
- Work through a sales and farming process to pitch services that meet client needs
- Ability to give “color” to “black & white” situations to find a solution that works for both agency and client
- Critical thinker who can reframe client requests to provide solutions agnostic of medium
- Strong organization and time management skills are required
- A team-oriented individual who is motivated and an effective communicator
- Ability to provide project direction to production team members
- Ability to generate and present ideas
- An excellent understanding of client care
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dexterity to manage several tasks at once
- Care about client needs and always be curious.
- Think and act like a marketer.
- Partner with their client, not give them homework.
- Be an "orange" to their "apple" when it comes to competitor comparisons.
- Think about "what would I do if this were my money?"
- Set expectations early, and often.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related program
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing role
