Marketing Intern
We are seeking a Marketing Intern to join McCarthy Lebit's Marketing Department for the summer term. The Marketing Intern will report directly to the firm's Director of Marketing and will work closely with the firm's Marketing Associate to support the firm's marketing initiatives and enhance brand visibility across a variety of traditional marketing channels. This is a full-time, seasonal position, based in our firm's downtown Cleveland, OH office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on marketing strategies to promote the firm's services and enhance brand awareness.
- Draft, edit, and schedule social media content.
- Format blogs, update the website, and maintain attorney biographies.
- Draft internal and external marketing communications.
- Coordinate production and assembly of marketing materials, including print collateral and promotional items.
- Plan and execute marketing events, including internal and external networking events, firm events, and committee events, and prepare associated materials and collateral.
- Audit firm content, including website and print collateral, to maintain, update, and enhance.
- Operate the Marketing Department's printing capabilities and cutter machine to produce collateral materials, including business cards.
- Monitor internal social media engagement.
- Collaborate on the firm's internal newsletter, from conceptualization through distribution.
- Maintain the firm's holiday card contact database and mailing lists.
- Utilize for project management and task tracking.
- Participate in bi-weekly Marketing Committee meetings and take detailed notes.
- Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to support business development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skill Requirements
- College students pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Working knowledge of client relationship management software and Microsoft-based office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.
- Proven aptitude to embrace new technology and learn new software platforms.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient copywriting, proofreading, and editing ability to assist in translating complex topics into engaging content.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of content marketing, social media platforms (Facebook, Linked In, Twitter), and Google Analytics is preferred.
- Creative and analytical mindset with an exceptional attitude to meet the needs of the Marketing Department.
