The OpportunityAt Designer Brands, we're creating digital shopping experiences that inspire customers and make it easy for them to discover the products they love. As a Digital Specialist (Content & Category), you'll play an important role in bringing those experiences to life.
This position sits at the intersection of content, merchandising, personalization, and digital strategy. You'll partner across teams to plan and execute engaging content experiences, helping customers connect with our brands through thoughtful storytelling, relevant product discovery, and seamless online experiences.

What You'll Be Doing- Execute on-site content experience initiatives by establishing organizational processes and managing content briefing, development, and production.
- Develop and implement content strategies through curated storytelling in partnership with Category Leads, Specialists, and the Content Production team.
- Drive personalization and customer segmentation strategies in collaboration with Category Leads and Specialists to enhance customer engagement and conversion.
- Partner with Category Leads and Specialists to execute merchandising tactics that support category, brand, and business objectives.
- Support site strategies with additional banners including on-site merchandising and content production.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience.
- In-depth knowledge of digital merchandising strategies.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Preferred:
Experience with advanced e-commerce platforms, CMS tools, and Adobe. - Preferred:
In-depth knowledge of SEO principles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in e-commerce merchandising platforms which include browse and search, PIM tools, CMS tools, and SEO optimization.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into strategic actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
