Position: Individual Giving Officer - Location: Cleveland - Hybrid
  • Develop and implement a mid-level giving strategy to engage donors at the $250-$5,000 level.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit mid-level donors through personalized outreach and relationship-building efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to align mid-level giving efforts with the major gifts pipeline.

Donor Stewardship & Prospect Research

  • Conduct research to identify new mid-level donor prospects and opportunities for growth.
  • Manage and execute stewardship activities, ensuring donors receive timely acknowledgments, impact reports, and engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and interactions in the CRM database (Donor Perfect).
  • Assist with the planning and execution of special events, with a focus on fundraising and donor engagement.
  • Lead direct fundraising efforts for events, including securing individual sponsor ships for Big Wheel Relay and managing its crowdfunding campaigns.
  • Collaborate with event committees, volunteers, and internal stakeholders to maximize fundraising results.
  • Support individual giving initiatives that feed into the major gifts pipeline.
  • Work closely with leadership and the Development team to identify donors with capacity to increase giving over time.
  • Assist in the creation of solicitation materials, impact reports, and donor communications.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of fundraising experience, preferably in annual giving, mid-level giving, or donor relations.
  • Experience with prospect research and donor cultivation strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor messages.
  • Experience with fundraising databases (Donor Perfect, Raiser’s Edge, or similar CRM) is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Event planning and fundraising event experience preferred.
  • Passion for the mission of Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center and a commitment to donor-centric fundraising.
