Associate, Women IN Philanthropy
About the Organization:
The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is the only organization in Cleveland that focuses on the health and vitality of the entire Jewish community. For more than 120 years, the Federation has created the critical scale necessary to drive meaningful social change and provide relief in times of crisis.
Position Overview:
This role works as part of the Women IN Philanthropy (WinP) team, a Campaign division, with the goal of increasing women's participation in the Campaign for Jewish Needs. The Associate reports to the Senior Director, Women IN Philanthropy, and is part of the WinP Campaign team, managing Campaigners and soliciting prospects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage specific elements of the Signature Event and the MaIN Event, the WinP awards process, and general Campaign projects and assignments
- Oversee planning and execution of WinP Awards, including serving as liaison with award families, soliciting nominations, and publishing award materials
- Serve as lead staff member for the Impact
365 Giving Society, Pomegranate Giving Society, and K'sharim programming - Assist in the planning and execution of the WinP Coaching Circles program
- Manage a team of volunteer solicitors, acting as their liaison for the Campaign for Jewish Needs
- Solicit assigned prospects, identify new individuals with potential to give, and serve as development officer for a portfolio of donors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
- 2+ years of relevant work experience; previous Hillel, Federation, and/or non-profit fundraising experience a plus
- Knowledge of Jewish community and culture
- Capacity to be a project manager, moving quickly from project to project and idea to execution
- Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience and comfort with CRM systems, data analytic tools, and Microsoft Office
