Cleveland Play House seeks a full-time Individual Giving Manager to manage and grow its individual donor program, with a focus on annual giving, mid-level donors, and membership. Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, this role is responsible for donor acquisition, retention, stewardship, and cultivation.

RESPONSIBILITIES Annual Giving & Membership
  • Manage CPH's annual giving program including direct mail, digital campaigns, telefunding, and membership renewals
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new donors and upgrade existing donors
  • Manage the CPH membership program including benefit fulfillment and stewardship
  • Track and analyze annual giving metrics and recommend improvements
Mid-Level Donors
  • Manage a portfolio of mid-level individual donors ($1,000–$4,999)
  • Develop personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
  • Identify donors with major gift potential for portfolio movement
Stewardship & Donor Communications
  • Coordinate timely and meaningful acknowledgment of all gifts
  • Draft donor communications including thank you letters, impact reports, and stewardship materials
  • Support development communications in partnership with the Marketing team
Database Management
  • Maintain accurate donor records in the Tessitura database
  • Pull reports, analyze data, and track fundraising progress
  • Ensure data integrity and support best practices in database management
Events & Engagement
  • Support donor cultivation and stewardship events
  • Assist with opening nights, donor receptions, and special engagement opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or a related field
  • Strong written communication skills; experience with donor communications preferred
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases;
    Tessitura experience a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for donor events and performances
PREFERRED
  • Experience managing annual giving programs or membership programs
  • Experience with direct mail, digital fundraising, or telefunding campaigns
  • Knowledge of Cleveland's philanthropic community
  • Experience in performing arts or cultural organizations
COMPENSATION

$55,000–$65,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include group health insurance (CPH contributes a portion of premium), group dental and vision, paid vacation, company and discretionary holidays, 401(k). Parking available at employee's cost.
