The Root Cause Coordinator for Workforce and Resource Navigation supports this mission by assisting neighbors in the Greater Cleveland Food Bank service area to navigate food programs within their community while connecting them to resources, primarily resources around workforce and stabilizing programs. This position requires significant knowledge of programs, processes and organizations that impacts household stability, as well as knowledge of wrap-around service models.
This position requires knowledge in workforce development and successful strategies to engage community members in training and development programs. This position helps to track the short and long-term impact of this work. This position also requires the coordinator to build partnerships with community organizations, organizations stationed at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s Community Resource Center(s) and work with internal staff and agency partners to connect eligible community members to benefits, programs and referrals.

- Conduct outreach to connect neighbors to workforce-related organizations co-located at GCFB’s Community Resource Center(s) and others in the community.
- Receive and respond to referrals from GCFB team members.
- Complete resource screenings for households and assess the need for wrap around services in the areas of health, housing socioeconomic and employment. Connect neighbors to meaningful resources that will best support their household’s stability; document interventions while managing actively engaged household cases.
- Assist households in creating goals; provide support in areas including financial literacy, housing stability and career development.
- Track progress towards goals, ensure accurate data entry in CAP
60 and compile data as needed for grants, programming improvements and community impact. - Curate programming to directly support neighbors, convene community partners, utilize and share best practices both inside and outside of the organization.
- Assist with and/or create program materials.
- Cultivate and/or enhance direct referral relationships with community organizations and employers that provide programming, resources and opportunities for neighbors. Track the progress of referrals to appropriate partner agencies and programs to access nutritional, medical, housing and socioeconomic support.
