Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Part Time

Position Summary

The REGISTERED NURSE (RN) delivers care to residents, ensuring all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards are met. Reports to the Director of Nursing (DON).

Education

Associate’s Degree (two-year college or technical school)

Certificates and Licenses
  • Must possess a nursing diploma, AS, or BS degree in nursing.
  • Must be currently registered/licensed in the state of Ohio.
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Specific Requirements
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in long-term care facilities.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise staff.
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret nursing programs, goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Understanding and adherence to company policies, including harassment and complaint procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Competent in delivering basic nursing care and evaluating residents’ needs.
  • Ability to monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Ability to chart appropriately and timely.
  • Dependable and regular attendance.
  • Good concentration, reasoning skills, and judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and modify care plans accordingly.
  • Ability to instruct residents and families on health topics and develop health programs.
  • Assist in examinations, treatments, and resident evacuation procedures.
