As a Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) on the Cardiac Stepdown Unit, you will deliver high-quality post-operative and progressive care to cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. This travel nurse position is ideal for RNs with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, or progressive care unit (PCU) experience who want to expand skills in a tertiary care center located in Cleveland, a vibrant city known for its museums, parks, and dining.

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,910–$2,010 per week

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, progressive care (PCU), or similar acute care setting
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza, TB/PPD)
• Successful completion of facility-specific onboarding, skills checklist, and competency exams
• Ability to provide verification of education, employment, and background checks as required

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients (CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplants)
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry data to detect clinical changes
• Monitor and assess patients for changes in condition and respond promptly to emergencies
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support complex post-op care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiac surgeons, intensivists, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner within the facility's EHR
