Job Summary:

Seeking a specialized Cardiac RN with expertise in heart and lung transplant procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in cardiovascular care and be prepared to handle complex transplant cases. Flexibility to take call is required to support 24/7 patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care for cardiac transplant patients.
• Assist during surgical procedures, including scrub responsibilities when applicable.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding promptly to changes.
• Educate patients and families regarding transplant processes and postoperative care.
• Perform advanced cardiovascular assessments and interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with experience in cardiovascular surgical settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of heart and lung transplant procedures.
• Ability to scrub into surgeries is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
• Certification in ACLS or BLS required.
