Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cardiac Registered Nurse specializing in CVOR is responsible for providing advanced perioperative care to patients undergoing heart and lung transplant surgeries. They play a vital role in the operating room, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled nursing and collaboration with the surgical team.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver preoperative and postoperative care for cardiac transplant patients.
• Assist during heart and lung transplant procedures, with the ability to scrub being a plus.
• Take on call duties to support emergency and scheduled surgeries.
• Monitor patient vital signs, manage invasive lines, and assist with complex surgical interventions.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and transplant protocols.
  
  Qualifications:
• Active RN license with specialized experience in cardiac or transplant nursing.
• Previous experience with heart and lung transplant procedures preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical environments.
• Willingness to take call and participate in emergency surgeries.
• Strong clinical skills with knowledge of perioperative protocols and patient management.
